Khetri House to be vacated: Receiver Jaipur Tehsildar issued notices to 35 families

The old heritage property Khetri Riyasat (Thikana) located near Chandpole in Jaipur once again came into the limelight after an order by the Supreme Court. Expressing displeasure over the encroachments happening here, the court has ordered to remove them soon and present the report. There has been a stir in about 35 families living after this order of the court. Because the district administration has issued notices to all these families asking the encroachers to submit their reply within 10 days.
The Supreme Court, while directing the removal of encroachments on the heritage properties of the former Maharaja of Khetri within six weeks, has also tied its hands by ordering no action in this regard in any other court. After this order, a spot inspection of Khetri House spread over 26 bighas was conducted by the revenue team on behalf of the Jaipur district administration. In this, houses, shops, and garages were found constructed unauthorizedly in the receiver Khetri House. After this, notices have been handed over to about 35 people.
In the notice issued by the administration, the reply time was given in 10 days. Out of 35 families that have received notices, 15 families have so far replied to the notices to the administration. Since the matter pertains to the directions of the Supreme Court, the administration will have to comply, but the biggest challenge before the administration is to remove these encroachments. Because the people who live here say that they spent their childhood here. Even today the electricity and water bills come in the name of Bahadur Singh. He had given the place on rent. He resided here before the receiver was appointed (1987) at this place. We are preparing for our side to be heard in the Supreme Court. After receiving the notice, the residents of Khetri House met public representatives and officers and pleaded for help.
Khetri House is a three-star heritage hotel located in Chandpole, Jaipur. Bad after the dispute. Rajarai Bahadur Sardar Singh was the 11th ruler of Khetri. He was born in March 1920. Apart from Rajya Sabha MP, Sardar Singh held many important positions. He was married in November 1948 to Rani Bhuvan Lakshmi Devi, daughter of Nepal ruler Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, who later divorced. Sardar Singh died in 1987.
As he had no children, the government took possession of the property under the Rajasthan Eschats Regulation Act-1956. A receiver has been appointed to take possession of the property. On the other hand, even after the Tehsildar receiver has been appointed at Khetri House (three-star hotel), Prithviraj Singh Manager Justice Khetri Trust's plaques have been installed, on which it is clearly written that this property belongs to Khetri Trust. Among the trustees are influential people like Gaj Singh, former DGP Ajit Singh Shekhawat, and Prithviraj Singh.
