Kerala: Major changes made in the police department, these officers were transferred; Promotion of many officers
Major changes have been made in the Police Department of Kerala. State Intelligence Chief TK Vinod Kumar has been promoted and posted as Director, Vigilance Department. Also, A. Akbar has been appointed as the new police commissioner of Kochi City. The new postings and transfers have been issued following the retirement of DGP Tomin J Thachankery from service on July 31.
A major change has been made in the Kerala Police Department. In fact, state intelligence chief TK Vinod Kumar has been transferred as director of the vigilance department.
T K Vinod Kumar has been promoted to the rank of DGP and hence, has been posted as Director of Vigilance. ADGP Manoj Abraham has been posted as the new intelligence chief.
DGP rank officer K. Padmakumar will be the new chief of the Fire and Rescue Department. ADGP Balram Kumar Upadhyay, who is currently in charge of the state police headquarters, will be in charge of prisons in Kerala.
Kochi City Police Commissioner Sethuraman has been promoted to IG, Northern Zone. A. Akbar has been appointed as the new police commissioner of Kochi City. ADGP MR Ajit Kumar has been given the charge of various battalions in the state. The new postings and transfers have been issued following the retirement of DGP Tomin J Thachankery from service on July 31.
