The actor will be honored with the 'Rising Global Superstar of Indian Cinema' award. The award will be presented to him by the Governor of Victoria at a ceremony to be held on August 11 for his significant contribution to the film industry and notable achievements.

The IFFM will run till August 20. It is a celebration of Indian cinema and culture, which will release more than 100 films in 20 languages. Kartik's films will also be screened at the festival, which will include 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and 'Satyaprem Ki Katha'.
