Bollywood actress Kajol says ‘at the Do Patti movie promotion event the story with a different kind of story.’ 'Some people have even offered me the role of an officer, which I haven't taken up all at once because there are many things involved,' she said. When asked about competing with her husband, Ajay Devgan, Kajol clarified to the media that she doesn’t view it as competition.
Kajol was in Jaipur on Sunday to promote her upcoming film Do Patti, along with co-stars Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. Speaking on the topic of Karwa Chauth, Kajol reminisced about how it became a trend with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) and is still remembered today. She added that before leaving Mumbai for Jaipur, she had prepared a puja thali for the festival. Ajay Devgan helped me in the action genre and I praise Kajol as he has mastered the genre and it is always busy with films, she says.
When asked about competing with Singham, Kajol rubbished the notion of competition saying: Playing a police officer doesn’t mean that I’m competing with Singham. Doing movies such as Singham requires a lot of hard work and a lot of action sequences, she has added. And as she talked about doing a similar role adding, 'Let's see what happens.' She also joked that she wasn’t the ‘Singham’ at home.
The three stars later interacted with fans at Rajmandir Cinema in Jaipur, and Kajol shared her thoughts on the potential of building a film industry in Jaipur.

As a producer of the film, Kriti Sanon stated that Do Patti was made with full honesty, and all the actors worked with passion. She added that she learned a lot from Kajol, having worked with her earlier in Dilwale (2015). Shaheer Sheikh also shared his experience, stating that working with such big stars was a great learning opportunity, and he gave his 100% effort in the film. He expressed how enjoyable it was to work with Kajol and Kriti, and it was an amazing experience for him.
