Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani had said in 2019 that he would get Jio and retail business listed in the next five years. On this basis, both the companies can be listed in 2025. However, Reliance Retail may be postponed for some more time. Ambani recently raised $25 billion from global investors like KKR, General Atlantic, and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for digital, retail, and telecom businesses. At that time, the valuation of the companies was estimated at $100 billion.
Reliance Jio is the largest telecom company in the country, with nearly 48 crore customers. If Reliance Jio decides to launch its Starlink internet service in India, then it will be directly competing with Elon Musk. Besides all this, giant companies like Google and Meta also support Jio. Recently, on the other side, Reliance partnered with Nvidia to develop artificial intelligence infrastructure.
