Javed Akhtar spoke up on Boycott Culture: This is only a phase

Many films have been destroyed so far due to the boycott culture. Alam is that many makers are quite nervous about the release of films. This is the reason why many B-town celebs have spoken openly on this culture. In this episode, the reaction of famous lyricist Javed Akhtar has also come to the fore. Actually recently Javed reached the 67th Filmfare Awards with his Shabana. There, when he was asked about Bollywood culture, to which Javed said, 'It is only a phase, which will end soon.
Describing the boycott culture as ineffective, Javed said in a conversation with E-Times - it is just a phase. I don't think any such culture works. If your film is good and the audience likes it, then it will definitely perform well at the box office. On the other hand, if the film is not good and the audience does not like it, then it will not be able to perform. I don't think cancel or boycotting culture can have any impact on the film.
Javed Akhtar is one of the well-known celebrities of Bollywood. He has been a part of Filmfare for almost 5 decades. The actor reminisced about his first Filmfare Award in a conversation with The Times of India. Javed told that he became a part of Filmfare for the first time in the year 1958. Bina Rai won the Best Actress Award that year, while Dilip Kumar and Bimal Roy were awarded the Best Actor Award.
