Thd famous Jannik Sinner became the first Italian player to win the singles title of the season's final tournament, the ATP Finals. Sinner easily defeated Taylor Fritz of America in straight sets in the final. Sinner spoke openly about the doping allegations against him after winning the title. Sinner said that I am still struggling with it. I could not sleep properly for many nights after being accused of doping, but in such a period of struggle, winning the ATP Finals trophy and ending the year with the number-1 ranking is very special for me.

Sinner was found positive in two separate dope tests in March but was cleared of the charges. Due to this, he could not even participate in the Paris Olympics. However, in September, the World Anti-Doping Agency appealed against the decision to clear him of doping charges and Sinner is currently under investigation by the Court of Arbitration for Sports. A final decision on the matter is expected early next year.

Sinner had then informed that banned drug had reached his body unknowingly. He said, my physiotherapist had an injury on his finger, on which he used a spray containing steroids. Immediately after this he gave me a massage, due to which the banned drug could go into my body. Sinner admitted that after these allegations I was very stressed. I had lost sleep at night.

The year 2024 turned out to be pretty promising for Sinner's career. In the ongoing year, the youngster from Italy won two Grand Slams: the Australian Open and US Open. He gained his ranking as world number one and now won the ATP Finals title. The player has won 26 of his last 27 matches. Sinner has won eight titles this season and finished the season with a great win-loss record of 70-6.

Finally, the finalist Sinner said, "This has been an incredible season for me, but a lot of scope remains for improvement in my game. Now, my focus would be on the Davis Cup matches.".
