A video message on Wednesday congratulated the Republic of Marshall Islands from India's Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar for hosting the 10th Micronesian Games successfully. At the same time, an agreement has also been inked between India and the Republic of Marshall Islands regarding four development projects. Under these projects, a Community Sports Centre, Airport Terminal, and a Community Building in the Republic of Marshall Islands will be built by India.

In the message, it has been stated by the Indian Foreign Minister, "On behalf of the people of India, I felicitate the Republic of Marshall Islands for successfully holding the 10th Micronesian Games last month. The good friendly relations between India and the Republic of Marshall Islands go a long way back and have been expanded year after year.". Especially under the relations between India and the countries of the Indo-Pacific Ocean, the relations between India and the Republic of Marshall Islands have strengthened. Today's agreement will be beneficial for the communities of the Marshall Islands and also result in infrastructure development in the Republic of Marshall Islands. The accord calls for India to build community sports centers, airport terminals, and community buildings in the Republic of Marshall Islands.

India's new Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri Monday assumed charge. During this, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote in a post shared on social media: "Team MEA welcomes Foreign Secretary @VikramMisri and wishes him successful tenure".
