Police said- Jitendra Panwar (34), a resident of C-Scheme Ashok Nagar, has lodged an FIR. Jitendra has a construction and club business. A WhatsApp call came on Jitendra's mobile at 6:19 pm on Sunday. The caller said – Jitendra bhai how are you. How is the construction and club work going? Businessman Jitendra said – The work is going well. The scumbag said - this phone is for ransom. I am speaking from Bikaner to Godara. One crore is needed by tomorrow evening. Otherwise, you will be picked up from where you are. Threatening the businessman, the miscreant disconnected the call.
Police prima facie believe that ransom has been sought from a businessman in the name of Bikaner's gangster Rohit Godara. Police are trying to trace the mobile number of the WhatsApp call that came for ransom.
Even before this, many businessmen have received ransom threats from Bikaner's gangster Rohit Godara. On December 10 at around 6:30 pm, the gangster also threatened a property dealer resident of Harmada by calling him on WhatsApp. Called and said that I am speaking to Rohita Godara. Have you recognized it? The one from Bikaner. Despite the refusal of the property businessman, demanded extortion of 5 crores. Said - If you want the safety of your life and want to stay alive. If I want to see the year 2023, I will have to give you this money, otherwise, your death is certain. After abusing me for a long time, he said – like I have shot 25 bullets at Raju Thehat, I will shoot you 50. After that, the phone was disconnected.
On December 15, property businessman Mahipal Singh lodged a case of receiving extortion threats at Churu's Ratangarh police station.
