Jacqueline's bail extended till November 10

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez's interim bail in a money laundering case has been extended till November 10. The Patiala House Court has given this decision while hearing the bail petition today i.e. on 22 October. This time too, Jacqueline reached the court in the clothes of a lawyer, so that no one could recognize her. Jacqueline is an important witness in the ongoing ED investigation in the Rs 200 crore fraud case involving thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Even before this, Jacqueline had filed a bail petition, on which on September 26, the court granted interim bail to the actress on a bail bond of Rs 50,000. The court had also sought a response from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding Jacqueline's bail plea. According to media reports, Additional Sessions Judge Shailendra Malik had said that till his reply is not received, his regular bail will be pending in the court.
In this case, the ED had filed a charge sheet on August 17, in which Jacqueline was named as an accused. In this case, the court sent him a summons, when Jacqueline's lawyer filed a bail application for her. Even before this, Jacqueline has appeared in court several times regarding this case. A few days back, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) team questioned him for nearly 7 hours about the gifts, designer clothes and cars he received from conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
Last year, the ED had filed a charge sheet against Sukesh Chandrashekhar and others in a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore. According to the allegation, Sukesh had extorted from the wife of a businessman while serving his sentence in Tihar Jail. ED has also recorded Jacqueline's statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. According to ED, Jacqueline is an important witness in Sukesh's extortion case of Rs 200 crore.
At the beginning of the case, there were a lot of rumours about the relationship between Jacqueline and Sukesh. There were reports that while dating Sukesh, she received many expensive gifts from Sukesh. These included jewellery, crockery, four Persian cats and a horse. The cost of a Persian cat is 9 lakh rupees. At the same time, the price of the horse has been stated to be Rs 52 lakh.
Apart from this, Sukesh proposed to her by giving her a diamond ring. J and S were made in this ring. Sukesh had also sent Rs 3 crore to Jacqueline's fashion designer Lipakshi's account. With this money, Lipakshi delivered designer clothes, cars and gifts of Jacqueline's choice to her. During the interrogation of the ED, Jacqueline confessed to her relationship and receiving gifts.
According to media reports, the ED believes that Jacqueline knew from the beginning that the main accused in this case, Sukesh Chandrashekhar, is a swindler and that he does extortion. Many of their private photos also went viral on social media, after which the ED questioned Jacqueline and kept the photos of both as evidence.
The ED has questioned Jacqueline several times in connection with the case. Jacqueline fully cooperated with the ED during the investigation and interrogation. During the investigation, Jacqueline had told the ED that she considered Sukesh as her life partner, and the actress was also dreaming of marriage with a thug. However, she said during the investigation that she had no involvement in Chandrashekhar's affairs and was not involved in money matters.
In this case, along with Jacqueline, the names of actresses like Nora Fatehi, Chahat Khanna and Neha Kapoor have been added. Nora has become a government witness in this case. According to the disclosure statement, Sukesh had also contacted Shilpa Shetty. When Raj Kundra was in jail in the Raj Kundra pornography case, Sukesh spoke to Shilpa about his conditional release.
