ISF workers clash with police, lathi-charge in Kolkata: Thousands of workers were protesting for the arrest of TMC leader

Indian Secular Front (ISF) workers and police clashed in Kolkata on Saturday. Police had to lathi charge to control the crowd. Along with this, tear gas shells also had to be fired. Its video has also surfaced. Several policemen and people involved in the demonstration were injured in the clash. So far 19 people have been arrested in this case.
According to media reports, ISF workers were protesting in the Esplanade area on Saturday evening. He said that TMC workers attacked his workers during a rally. Due to this some of his workers got injured. Due to this, he was demanding the arrest of TMC leader Arbul Islam.
Thousands of people participated in the demonstration. Due to this the road got jammed. The police requested the protesters to clear the road, but they refused to comply. To disperse the crowd, Kolkata Police used force and started a lathi charge. During this, ISF leader and MLA Naushad Siddiqui were taken into custody.
Earlier on Saturday itself, a case of a clash between TMC and ISF workers came to light in the Bhangar area of the state. The incident took place when the ISF members were on their way to Kolkata. During this, ISF workers set fire to an office of the Trinamool Party.
