Irrfan's son Babil won the IIFA Award: Father remembered after getting success, said- Baba was my only friend
Babil Khan, son of late actor Irrfan, received the Best Debut Actor Award for the film Kala. During this, the actor reached the award show with his mother Sutapa Sikdar. Before the ceremony, Babil remembered his father Irrfan Khan while interacting with the media on the green carpet. He said that he misses him a lot, as he was his only friend.
As the media questioned him about his father Irrfan, he said- 'I miss him every day of my life. I didn't have many friends when I was growing up, so he was my only friend. Laughing with him is my most beautiful memory.
During the conversation, Babil was asked- 'If he gets an award for art, how will he enjoy this success?
On this Babil said- 'No, I didn't think anything like that, I will go home after winning the award and will keep this award of mine along with 50 awards on Baba's (Irrfan) shelf and will calmly start working for the future.'
Babil was asked which film of Irrfan he would like to remake. On this, Babil refused to do any such film, he said- 'No... why would you try to remake Baba's performance. I think he did it really well, there is no need to remake his movies.
Sharing the picture of the award on social media, Babil has expressed happiness over his success. Along with Babil, actor Shantanu Maheshwari was also awarded the IIFA Best Debut Actor Award, who worked in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
