Railway worker sues his boss in Ireland: Said- I don't get any work done, I get Rs 1.02 crore for sitting idle
A railway worker has filed a lawsuit against his boss in Dublin, Ireland. He says that he sits idle in the office, he is not given any work to do. He has accused his boss of punishing him for asking questions about the railroad account.
According to media reports, Dermot Alastair Mills is the finance manager at Irish Railways. He says that in 2014, he shared information about irregularities in his company's account. Since then his owners started sidelining him.
Mills said that my day is spent reading the newspaper, eating sandwiches and going for long walks. I buy two newspapers, The Times and The Independent, take a sandwich with them and sit in my cabin. I turn on my computer and check my e-mail. But there is no e-mail related to work in it. Neither there is any communication from any colleague.
Mills told that he gets 1.02 crore rupees ($ 1.26 lakh) annually for doing nothing. He says that he is not asking for much work, but if he is given some work for one day a week, he will be very happy.
