IRCTC services stalled, problems in booking tickets and opening website

The railway ticket booking website IRCTC is down. Due to this, lakhs of people across the country are unable to book tickets. Users are facing this problem in many small cities along with big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
People are having trouble booking tickets on the app as well as the website down detector which reports the downtime of the websites.
On logging on to the IRCTC website, it is written that the e-ticketing facility is currently affected due to maintenance work. Try again later to take advantage of the feature. For cancellation, you can contact customer care numbers 14646,0755-6610661 and 0755-4090600 or on the official mail id etickets@irctc.co.in.
Information has been given by tweeting on behalf of IRCTC about the problem in booking tickets on the website and app. The company tweeted that the ticket booking facility is currently not available on the IRCTC app and site due to a technical glitch. Hence users can book tickets on other B2T platforms like Amazon and MakeMyTrip.
Earlier, in another tweet by IRCTC, it was said that ticket service is not available at present due to a technical glitch. Our maintenance team is trying to fix it. As soon as this problem is fixed. We will provide the information with immediate effect.
