IPS shared private photos of IAS on Facebook: also made allegations of corruption, Karnataka Home Minister warned of action
The fight between two bureaucrats in Karnataka has come to the fore on social media. IPS D Roopa Moudgil shared some pictures of IAS Rohini Sindhuri on social media on Sunday. Roopa has claimed that Rohini violated service conduct rules by sending her private photos to three male IAS officers.
He has also accused Rohini of corruption. In response to this, IAS Rohini said that IPS Roopa is plotting to defame her. On the other hand, the Home Minister of Karnataka expressed his displeasure over the matter and warned of action against both of them.
IPS D Roopa accused IAS Rohini of corruption on Saturday. He had also complained to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma. After this, Roopa shared some pictures on her Facebook page on Saturday. IPS has alleged that Sindhuri had shared her private photos in the years 2021 and 2022 with three IAS officers.
IAS Rohini Sindhuri rejected these allegations on Sunday. He said that IPS Roopa is running a campaign to defame IAS officers and is threatening action. Rupa screenshotted private pictures from my WhatsApp status and shared them on Facebook.
She is saying that I have sent private photos to some IAS officers, so why don't you reveal their names? Mental illness is a big problem, when an officer posted in a high position suffers from this disease, then its consequences are dangerous. They need treatment.
Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra has expressed displeasure over this matter. He said that we have discussed this with the police and the Chief Minister is also aware of this. It is not right for two officers to talk like this on social media, action will be taken against them. Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya has advised closing the social media accounts of both. Please tell that D Roopa is the Managing Director of Karnataka Handicrafts Development Corporation. At the same time, Rohini Sindhuri is the commissioner of the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department.
