IPL auction 2024: Delhi Capitals made an unknown player a millionaire, MS Dhoni has connections with the state

Another player from Jharkhand was successful in making his mark in the mini-auction of IPL 2024. After Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) and Ishan Kishan (Ishan Kishan), the young wicketkeeper-batsman of Jharkhand has become a millionaire. Uncapped player Kumar Kushagra was bought by Delhi with a huge bid of Rs 7.20 crore from his base price of Rs 20 lakh.

Chennai was the first to bid on Jharkhand's young wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Kushagra. Gujarat jumped in between. His price increased from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 60 lakh. Seeing CAK and Gujarat fighting, Delhi also jumped in and the bid crossed Rs 1 crore. Within a few minutes, the bidding reached Rs 7 crore. Finally, Delhi Capitals bought this young player for Rs 7.20 crore and included him in their camp.

It is noteworthy that in the absence of Ishan Kishan, Kushagra has become the main wicketkeeper of Jharkhand. After Ishan Kishan's selection in the national team, Kumar Kushagra's fortunes have turned around and he is keeping wickets for Jharkhand. After Rishabh Pant's injury, Delhi Capitals were looking for a wicketkeeper, which ended up being Kumar Kushagra.

Kumar Kushagra has not played any stormy innings, but one of his innings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy made everyone look at him. While chasing 355 runs against Maharashtra, Kushagra, batting at number six for Jharkhand, played an unbeaten inning of 67 runs in 37 balls with the help of four fours and five sixes and led the team to victory. This inning of Kushagra had impressed many scouts present there.
