IPL 2025: Half the journey of these 6 out of 10 teams is over; Know which team is at which place
IPL 2025 Playoffs Qualification Scenario: So far 6 teams have played 7-7 matches in the Indian Premier League 2025 and the interesting thing is that all these six teams are out of the top 4.

Nearly half the journey is done for the Indian Premier League 2025. Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings have competed in 7-7 matches and all six of them have fallen out of the top 4 of the points table. We are referring to the top 4 because only the top 4 will make it for the playoffs. Delhi Capitals, who have bagged 5 out of 6 matches, are on top of the points table. The second spot is held by the Gujarat Titans, RCB is on the third spot, followed by Punjab Kings on the fourth spot.
Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have played 7 matches and have won only 2. These three teams are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs. These three teams still have to play 7 more matches and only if they win 6 out of 7 matches, their hopes of reaching the next round will remain alive. In such a situation, if these three teams lose 2-2 matches, then their chances of reaching the next round will fade.
Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders have also played 7-7 matches but have won 3-3. Both these teams also still have to play 7-7 matches and if they want to secure a place in the next round, then at least 5 out of the remaining 7 matches will have to be won. That is, if both these teams lose 3-3 matches, then their chances of reaching the next round will almost end. Lucknow has won 4 out of 7 matches and if it wins 4 more out of 7 matches, then they will reach the threshold of the playoffs.
Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals have played 6-6 matches. Delhi has lost only one match, while the other three teams have won 4-4 matches and lost 2-2. Delhi will have to win only 4 out of the remaining 8 matches to secure its place in the playoffs. As soon as they win 4 matches, their total points will be 18 and till date no team that has won 9 matches has been out of the playoffs. On the other hand, Punjab, Bangalore and Gujarat will also have to win 5-5 more matches to get 18 points and these three teams have 8-8 matches left.
