IPL 2024: Siraj's edge returned before the World Cup, Titans batsmen faced the havoc of 'Mia Magic'

The 52nd match of the Indian Premier League 2024 is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this match, Mohammad Siraj created a sensation with his very first over and destroyed both the openers of Gujarat Titans. Siraj has also been included in the Indian team selected for the T20 World Cup 2024, but many cricket experts were disappointed considering his IPL form. Many veterans even advocated his exclusion from the World Cup team but the selectors showed confidence and gave him a place in the 15-member team.

Siraj had only claimed eight wickets in his ten IPL 2024 matches prior to the Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Gujarat Titans match. Bowling at an economy of 9.22, he conceded 332 runs in 36 overs. Nevertheless, Siraj displayed a different mindset today from the start of the game, getting rid of Wriddhiman Saha in his opening over. After Dinesh Karthik caught Saha behind the wicket, Siraj sent him to the pavilion.

After this, in his second over, he also killed the captain and second opener of Gujarat Titans. Thanks to Siraj, the Titans lost both their openers on the score of just 10 runs. Siraj spent only 9 runs in the first two overs and took two wickets. He also joined the list of bowlers who have completed 150 wickets in their T20 career. This rhythm of Siraj before the World Cup is good news for the Indian fans and team.
