Investment of Rs 22,633 crore came in equity mutual funds in March, decrease compared to February

The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) releases mutual fund inflow data every month. AMFI released the figures for equity mutual fund inflows in March. According to the latest data, inflows are being seen in MF for the 37th consecutive month.
Investments in equity mutual funds declined 16 per cent to Rs 22,633 crore in March compared to a month earlier. In February it was Rs 26,866 crore. According to data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi), the body of mutual fund companies, the trend of net inflows into equity funds continued for the 37th consecutive month i.e. in March.
In February, the mutual fund industry as a whole saw inflows of Rs 1.2 lakh crore, but in March, there were significant outflows of Rs 1.6 lakh crore. The major cause of this withdrawal was the withdrawal of Rs 1.98 lakh crore from mutual fund schemes that relied on debt.
All categories of equity schemes saw net inflows; small-cap funds were the only exception. In contrast to Rs 54.54 lakh crore at the end of February, mutual fund companies' net assets under management were Rs 53.4 lakh crore last month.
An enormous Rs 1.98 lakh crore was taken out of the debt scheme.
The outflow from equity-oriented schemes in March was Rs 22,633 crore, down from Rs 26,866 crore in February. excluding the Rs. 94 crore withdrawal from small-cap funds. All other categories experienced inflows into the equity segment.
The industry's net assets under management declined slightly to Rs 53.4 lakh crore last month from Rs 54.54 lakh crore at the end of February.
