Instagram Server Down: Users are not able to open Instagram
According to Downdetector, the crowdsourced outage tracking platform, several people by nearly 11.15 am had logged in complaints they were not receptive to the app.
For many, Instagram is currently down in India today morning amid widespread outage issues the Meta-owned platform is facing. The problem began at 11:15 a.m., according to Downdetector, the crowd-sourced service that tracks outages when many users began reporting issues with the app.
In a breakdown provided by Downdetector, at least 64% of users reported problems logging into the app, while for about 24% of users, there were issues with the server connection. It tracks outages by aggregating status reports from several sources, including end users.
Users began to flood Instagram on X about their issues. Some users saw an error message that read, 'Something went wrong.".
Someone asked on the X platform, "Wait, is Instagram down, or am I the only one with internet problems?
Another user shared, "Instagram down 8/10/2024. Life is more beautiful without Instagram."
One user wrote: "Instagram is no more.".
The Meta-owned app had, incidentally, suffered a global outage in June this year. More than 6,500 users in India had complained of not being able to access the service at the height of an outage that occurred around 12.02 pm, according to website outage tracking website Downdetector. Problems with the feed were reported by about 58% of the participants, while 32% said the problems were in the app; another 10% reported problems in connecting to the server. People from Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, among others reported the malfunctioning app.
