Indian women's cricket team's star batsman Smriti Mandhana has scored her second consecutive century in the second ODI of the series against South Africa. After a century of 117 runs in the first match of the series, Mandhana continued her excellent form. Mandhana was very cautious at the beginning of the match. South African bowlers kept her quiet during the first powerplay. India lost opener Shefali Verma early, forcing Mandhana to take charge of the innings. She took her innings forward slowly.

Supporting Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur scored a century off 87 balls. The partnership of both played an important role in maintaining the momentum and putting pressure on the South African bowlers. Mandhana has now become the joint highest century-scorer for the Indian women's team. She has equaled former captain Mithali Raj. India posted a mammoth total of 325 for 3 in 50 overs, helped by hundreds from Mandhana and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.
