Indigenous anti-drones deployed for the safety of players and spectators in IPL 2025 after Pahalgam Terror Attack
Anti-Drone System in IPL 2025: After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, indigenous anti-drone systems are being deployed to protect the airspace in every match for the safety of players and spectators during IPL 2025. How and what does this anti-drone system work? Let's know-

The world's biggest cricket league, IPL, is currently being organized in different cities of the country, in which cricketers from all over the world are participating. After the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, tension between India and Pakistan has increased significantly, given that special security arrangements have been made for the players and spectators during IPL 2025. During the IPL match, indigenous anti-drone systems are being installed in every stadium to protect the airspace, preventing any untoward incident.
Big Bang Boom Solutions Pvt Ltd (BBBS) installed the indigenous anti-drone system, Vajra Super Shot, during the KKR vs Punjab Kings match on Saturday because of airspace security. Vajra Super Shot is a lightweight and handheld anti-drone weapon. It can detect drones up to 4 km away and disrupt their communication signals. It can effectively neutralize potential threats ahead of time. Now it will be installed in different cities during every match of IPL 2025.
In a statement issued by BBBS, it has been said that its portability and frequency jamming make it ideal for dynamic environments like crowded stadiums. If any flying object, drone, or any other thing enters the airspace of the stadium or within a radius of four kilometers, it will eliminate its communication signal.
The Indigenous anti-drone system was first used in IPL 2025 during the recently played Chennai Super Kings vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad match at the Chepauk Stadium. It is now installed in the stadium before every match.
