India's first UPI-ATM: No need of debit card, withdraw money by scanning QR code, know everything

The use of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is increasing rapidly in the country. People are using it for small payments. To promote digitalization in the country, many banks are also providing various facilities to customers. Now UPI ATM has also been launched in the country.

Japan's Hitachi Company in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched the first UPI-ATM in the form of White Label ATM (WLA). In this, customers can easily withdraw cash from ATMs through UPI. This has been done to promote digitalization. This ATM was used for the first time at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai on 5 September 2023. The company believes that with this facility, customers can now easily withdraw cash through ATM.

Before today, we needed a debit card to withdraw cash from the ATM. At the same time, in UPI ATM we can withdraw cash from the ATM even without a debit card. This is a convenient and safe way to withdraw cash through ATM. In such a situation, the question arises How should we use UPI ATM?

How to use UPI ATM:
- You have to first enter the ATM amount as much as you want to withdraw cash.
- After this, the QR code (UPI-QR Code) will be shown in front of you.
- Now scan the UPI QR code.
- After this, you have to enter the UPI PIN.
- After this you now have to collect cash from the ATM.

As the name suggests, we have to use UPI PIN in UPI ATM. This is a cardless transaction. In this, you can use UPI ATM through a registered mobile number and OTP. In today's time, you can easily install the UPI App on Android or iOS devices.

Many banks are also providing UPI-ATM facilities to the customers. Regarding UPI-ATM, NPC said that it helps a lot in providing banking facilities easily to customers. Through this facility, customers can withdraw cash with the help of UPI anywhere without any card.
