Fast bowler Kamran Khan, who bowled the first super over in IPL history, has said goodbye to cricket during the T20 World Cup 2024. Kamran Khan, who defeated big batsmen, was once called the next superstar of Indian cricket, but Kamran, who hails from a poor family, could not fulfill his dream of playing for the country. He played his last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 29 April 2011. Kamran Khan himself has announced his retirement through social media.

Posting on social media, Kamran Khan wrote… Goodbye IPL and the game I love the most. This game has given me everything. Thanks to all my coaches, the late Shane Warne Sir, Rajasthan Royals Pune Warriors India, and all my friends and family.

In the encounter between the Rajasthan Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders, Munaf Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Dimitrios Mascarenhas, and skipper Shane Warne startled everyone by turning over the super over to 18-year-old Kamran Khan. That was especially true when legends such as Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle were in attendance. Kamran delivered 15 runs in that over. Following this, Yusuf Pathan batted and led the squad to a spectacular victory.

Kamran Khan's cricket career has been short. He debuted in the 2009 IPL and played his final match in 2011. During this time, he took 9 wickets in 9 matches at an economy rate of 8.4 and an average of 24.89.
