Indian-origin boy stabbed in Australia while playing basketball with friends on birthday

A 16-year-old Indian-origin boy and his two friends were ambushed and attacked with a knife by some people in Melbourne, Australia. The teenager was playing basketball with his friends when he was attacked. The juvenile and one of his friends were injured in the attack with the intention of robbery. Australian news channel 7News reported in one of its reports that the incident took place in Tarnit City. An Indian-origin teenager named Ryan Singh and two of his friends were ambushed and attacked with knives by a gang. Reports said that a group of around seven-eight people attacked the three and asked the children to leave behind their mobile phones and birthday gifts.
Ryan was playing basketball in Tarnit before attending a family dinner with two of his friends on the occasion of his birthday. The news channel reported that the teenager was attacked with a knife on his ribs, both arms, hands, and back and was also hit on the back of the head. A friend of Ryan's was also stabbed, according to Victoria Police.
According to the report, Ryan was taken to the hospital after being injured in the attack, where he underwent surgery on the fingers of his left hand. At the same time, both his friends are also undergoing treatment in the hospital.
