Indian Navy again became an angel and saved the life of a Pakistani in trouble. The Pakistani aboard the Iranian boat had requested rescue. Navy's INS Sumedha immediately responded to the emergency message and saved the life of a Pakistani crew member aboard the Iranian boat Al Rahmani by providing medical aid.

The Navy had earlier rescued 23 Pakistanis by forcing them to surrender nine pirates who had hijacked the Iranian ship Al-Kambar in the Arabian Sea in March.

Acting immediately on the emergency message, warship INS Sumedha, deployed in the Arabian Sea, intercepted the Iranian fishing boat Al Rahmani on April 30, posted a Navy spokesperson on X. The ship's boarding team and medical experts boarded the boat and provided medical aid to a member of the boat's 20-member Pakistani crew, saving his life. He was having difficulty breathing. After medical management, he is now feeling relieved.

Naval ship INS Kochi intercepted the distressed Panama-flagged crude oil tanker MV Andromeda Star PM on April 28 and naval helicopters conducted aerial reconnaissance to assess the situation. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was also deployed on the distressed tanker for risk assessment. A total of 30 crew (including 22 Indian nationals) are safe. The tanker is moving towards its destination.
