Team India's senior fast bowler Mohammed Shami exited the field after bowling only 3 overs in the fifth match of the 2025 Champions Trophy versus Pakistan. While bowling his third over, there was a strain in his leg at the fourth ball. Shami also seemed dangerous in the fifth over of the Pakistan innings. The batsmen also started feeling a little apprehensive in his presence. But as soon as he started gaining confidence, he started feeling the pain in his knee. The physio came onto the field and left after examination after finishing the over. After this, the same happened with Shami as well. Now, Washington Sundar has replaced him for the time being.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first in the Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy against India on Sunday. After winning the toss, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan said that the wicket looks good and his team will try to score well here. Rizwan said that his players understand the situation in Dubai very well. There is one change in the Pakistan team, Imam-ul-Haq will play in place of Fakhar Zaman.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that the toss does not matter much, although he said that the pitch is going to be slow. Rohit said that the pitch does not look much compared to the last match. Rohit said that the last match was not going to be easy for his team but the way the players came back as a team is commendable. No changes have been made to the Indian team.
