India providing charismatic leadership for global economic growth: Birla

The country's leading industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla has said that India's economic story paints a "more rosy picture" and the government's push to infrastructure has led to increased private sector capex.
Addressing shareholders in the annual report of UltraTech Cement, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Birla said that India is providing charismatic leadership and not just a spectator on the vast stage of global economic growth.
He said that companies operating globally are now eyeing other countries as part of the 'China plus one' strategy and India is in a better position to take advantage of this situation.
Noting that inflation has now peaked globally and in India, he said, "Low inflation, strong foreign exchange reserves, and improvement in bank asset quality provide a great cushion against potentially volatile events in global markets."
