India may get 26 new Rafales, talks with France on the deal for the purchase of aircraft are going on

The Indian Army is constantly strengthening its fleet. Due to this, discussions have started once again between India and France regarding Rafale. It is being told that talks are going on between the governments of the two countries regarding the deal of 26 Rafale marine fighter aircraft. During this, the price and other related issues are being discussed.

Earlier, a meeting was to be held between India and France on May 30 for the purchase of Rafale. However, due to the Lok Sabha elections, it was postponed till the second week of June.

Defense sources said that a delegation from France has come to New Delhi. It includes officials of their Directorate General of Armaments, who are monitoring the ongoing Rafale deal with India. He informed that the Indian side is being represented in the talks between these two countries by the officers of the Directorate General of Acquisition under the Ministry of Defense and other military officers from the user side.

Talks are going on to purchase 26 Rafale maritime fighter aircraft for a total cost of more than Rs 50 thousand crores. Currently, the Indian Air Force has 36 Rafales in its fleet. The aircraft will be operated from Indian Navy aircraft carriers, including the INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant.

Rafale is a highly effective fighter aircraft. Making one aircraft costs seven crores. This aircraft is 15.27 meters long and seats only one or two pilots. This aircraft's specialty is its ability to combat at high altitudes. Rafale can reach a height of 60 thousand feet in one minute. It is capable of flying by carrying a maximum load of 24,500 kg. Its maximum speed is 2200 to 2500 km. per hour and its range is 3700 kilometers.

Equipped with an optronic secure frontal infrared search and track system, this aircraft is equipped with many types of dangerous missiles and guns like MBDA Mica, MBDA Meteor, and MBDA Apache, which can destroy enemies in a moment. A 1.30 mm gun fitted in it is capable of firing 125 rounds at a time. The Meteor missile fitted in it is capable of shooting down a fighter jet flying 100 kilometers away in a moment. No one in the whole of Asia, including China and Pakistan, has such a missile.

Security of the country's borders from Pakistan and China has always been a big issue. The Air Force is already short of fighter planes, in such a situation, Rafale aircraft is very important for India. This aircraft has been used in combat operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Mali and it has been quite successful. If Rafale is included in the Air Force's fleet of warships, then it will give a new strength to the army.
