India is preparing to include 6 sports including yoga, cricket and kabaddi in the Olympics

After hosting the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, India is now eyeing the hosting of the 2036 Olympic Games. For this, the Mission Olympic Unit (MOC) of the Sports Authority of India has been preparing for a long time. According to a report, Indian sports administrators will lobby vigorously to get the claim during the Paris Olympic Games starting from July 26. The MOC has presented a detailed report related to claiming the hosting of the Olympics to Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The MOC plans that if India gets the hosting of the Olympics, then indigenous sports should also be included in it. Under this, six sports Yoga, T20 Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Squash, and Chess will get a place. If India gets the hosting, then the proposed sports will be included as demonstration sports during the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. After this, these sports will be considered for inclusion in the Olympics 2036.

If India has to get the hosting of the Olympics, then the International Olympic Committee (IOA) will have to be impressed. A member of the MOC said we will have to lobby with the IOC during the Paris Olympics. We are ready for this with a complete plan.

India will face tough competition from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, China, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Canada, Spain, Poland, Mexico, South Korea, Egypt, Chile, Turkey and Indonesia to get the hosting of the Olympics.

After 2019, the IOC has ended the bidding process. Now it talks directly to the interested claimant. The IOC has removed planners and presentations. The IOC assesses the economic condition of the claimant country, its sports facilities, and its infrastructure.

The total budget of the Paris Olympic Games, which will begin on 26 July this year, is about Rs 39 thousand crores. If India hosts the 2036 Olympics, it will have to spend thousands of crores of rupees.
