A reserve day has been kept for the Super-4 match of Asia Cup 2023 between India and Pakistan. If the entire match cannot be held on September 10, then the match will be played on September 11. However, India has been unlucky in terms of reserve day.

It is noteworthy that India and New Zealand clashed in the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup. New Zealand won the toss and batted first and scored 239 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. Rain came in 46.1 overs of New Zealand's innings and the match was played on the reserve day on the second day.

On this day New Zealand gave India a target of 240 runs. In response, the Indian team could score only 221 runs in 49.3 overs. The picture of SS Dhoni being run out in this match is still etched in the hearts and minds of cricket fans.

Earlier in the year 2002, on 29 September, India had also faced disappointment in the final of the Champions Trophy. The match played between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo was washed out due to rain. In this match, Sri Lanka won the toss and batted first, and scored 244 runs for 5 wickets. The Indian team was playing after scoring 14 runs in two overs when it started raining.

The match was played again the next day on reserve day. Sri Lanka again won the toss and batting first scored 222 runs for 7 wickets. In response, India scored 38 runs for 1 wicket in 8.4 overs. Once again it rained and the match could not be completed. ICC declared both teams joint winners.

In the high voltage match between India and Pakistan in the Super-4 of Asia Cup 2023, India, batting first, scored 147 runs for two wickets in 24.1 overs. After this, it rained, due to which the match had to be stopped.
