IND vs NZ: Due to rain first session ended early and India's score was 344 runs for three wickets

The first Test match between New Zealand and India at KM Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru has begun, but the fourth day's lunch break has already been held. In fact, the rain has stopped play for the fourth day in a row. This marked the early end of the first session. With three wickets out and 344 runs made by lunch, India is now 12 runs behind New Zealand in the second innings. Pant is at 53 runs and Sarfaraz Khan has 125 runs as he is at the crease right now.

India resumed at 231/3 on the third day. Sarfaraz started the fourth day at 70 runs and played aggressively. This Mumbai batsman took on all the New Zealand bowlers and scored runs quickly. In 110 balls, he completed his century and made a century partnership with Rishabh Pant for the fourth wicket.

This is the first century of Sarfaraz's Test career and it came at a time when the team needs it the most. Pant also managed a fifty. The match had to be stopped as rain took over, due to which lunch was announced before time. It had been assumed that the second session of play would begin at 12 noon after the rain had stopped, but then heavy rain started, which would delay the resumption of the match.
