The first T20 match between India and Ireland will be played from Friday, 18 August. During the press conference before the match, captain Jasprit Bumrah gave a statement regarding his return. Bumrah said that he has never been away from the game for so long. He said that he was always preparing for the World Cup.

It should be noted that Jasprit Bumrah's return before the Asia Cup and ODI World is good news for India. Returning to fitness after 11 months away from the game, Jasprit Bumrah on Thursday said he is ready to bowl longer spells.
