The sales date of December 2023 has been declared by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). With both domestic and international sales included, the business has sold 317,123 units overall, a 27% rise over the 250,171 units it sold in December of last year. Although the two-wheeler sector has seen a sluggish pace of sales, HMSI has closed it off on a good note.
Honda sold 286,101 vehicles domestically in December 2022, up 22.71% year over year from the 233,151 units it sold in the same month the previous year. However, the firm has shipped 31,022 units, showing an incredible 82.27% rise. In the same month last year, almost 17,020 units were transported overseas.
In the financial year 2023, Honda Two-Wheelers India sold 43,84,559 units. By contrast, Hero MotoCorp, the market leader and main competitor, sold 54.99 lakh units in the same time frame. About two-wheeler sales in India, the Japanese manufacturer remains in second place.
Honda launched several new and revised models in an exciting 2023. The Shine 100, the company's cheapest motorbike to date, and the Honda Activa H-Smart version were both released.
