This year, the prestigious event will take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in March, promising an unforgettable celebration of Indian cinema. The festivities kick off on Saturday, March 8, with the debut of the Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards, co-presented by NEXA. These awards will recognize the groundbreaking contributions of the OTT and digital entertainment industry, highlighting IIFA's commitment to embracing innovation and evolution in the cinematic landscape. The event will culminate on Sunday, March 9, with the grand finale celebrating the finest achievements in Indian cinema over the past year.
A Star-Studded Launch
The journey to the Silver Jubilee began with a glittering press meet in Mumbai on Friday evening. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, actor Kartik Aaryan, Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and IIFA’s co-founders Andre Timmins, Viraf Sarkari, and Sabbas Joseph shared the spotlight to unveil this milestone edition. Speaking at the event, Shah Rukh Khan reminisced about IIFA’s legacy and its role in taking Indian cinema to global heights.
"From its inaugural ceremony at the Millennium Dome in London to this historic Silver Jubilee celebration in Jaipur, IIFA has been a testament to Indian cinema's global resonance. Celebrating 25 years in Rajasthan—a state rich in culture and history—makes this milestone even more magical," Shah Rukh said.
Kartik Aaryan to Host the Milestone Edition
For the first time, actor Kartik Aaryan will take on the role of IIFA host, adding a new feather to his cap. Sharing his enthusiasm, Kartik said, "Hosting IIFA's 25th-anniversary celebration is an absolute honor. Jaipur, with its vibrant culture, is the perfect backdrop for this momentous occasion. Adding to the excitement, Nora Fatehi, a regular performer at IIFA since 2022, confirmed her participation. "Performing on IIFA’s grand stage is always special. This being my fourth consecutive year is a testament to the love and energy IIFA brings. Celebrating its Silver Jubilee in Jaipur makes it even more extraordinary," she said.
