ICC Test Rankings: Harry Brook loses the number one crown, two Indian players remain in top-10
ICC Test Rankings: England's dashing batsman Joe Root has once again reached the top of the ICC Test batting rankings, leaving behind compatriot Harry Brook.
Harry Brook could not save his number one crown in the latest Test batting rankings released by the ICC, in fact now he has slipped to number two. Meanwhile, his compatriot Joe Root has once again reached the top. Apart from these two changes in the top 10, there has been no change in anyone's ranking. England's Ben Duckett has suffered the biggest blow and he has slipped six places to number 18.
In the ICC batting rankings, Australia's Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja have climbed a place each to attain 12th and 13th position respectively while Sri Lanka's Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjay de Silva along with Pakistan's Babar Azam too have gained a position each to be placed in the 14th, 15th and 17th positions respectively.
Among the Indian batsmen, Yashasvi Jaiswal has retained the number four position and Rishabh Pant has maintained his number nine position in the top-10 batting rankings. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have jumped one place each to reach the 30th and 16th positions respectively. Other than them, Virat Kohli is at 20th, KL Rahul at 50th, and Ravindra Jadeja at 51st position.
In the latest ICC Test bowling rankings, Jasprit Bumrah has managed to hold onto his top position while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been able to retain their spots at number 5 and number six respectively. Among others, South Africa's Kagiso Rabada is second while Australia's Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins are in third and fourth positions respectively. Pakistan's Noman Ali has remained in the top 10.
New Zealand's Matt Henry has moved up two places to seventh position while Australia's Nathan Lyon and Sri Lanka's Prabhat Jayasuriya have dropped by a place each to reach eighth and ninth positions respectively. England's Gus Atkinson is in 14th position with a gain of three places. Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando, England's Chris Woakes, and New Zealand's Kyle Jamieson have slipped one place each to reach the 15th, 16th, and 17th positions respectively.
