South Korea's leading automotive company Hyundai Motor and Kia on Monday introduced their integrated air taxi service technology in Indonesia. The air taxi service technology was shown to the people under a program called Shucle. It was done at Samarinda Airport near Indonesia's new capital Nusantara. Let's know about it.

An event was organized by the automakers to introduce air taxi service technology. This program was organized to show AAM i.e., Joint Integrated Advanced Air Mobility. Officials of Nusantara Capital City Authority and representatives of Korean automakers participated in this program.

The air taxi was demonstrated with the help of an air vehicle, named Oppav, from Korea Aerospace Research Institute. Oppav is run by technology from Hyundai Motor Group powertrain, which covered a distance of about 2 km during the test. In light of this development, it is being claimed that soon it is going to show its extended range.

Indonesia represents a wide area extent of over 18,000 square kilometers of land area, with road transportation being highly difficult. Against such a backdrop, this country is regarded and hyped by many as a country holding great development potential for the air taxi business. Simultaneously with this, Hyundai Motor Group is pairing up with the Nusantara Capital City Authority in Indonesia to form an ecosystem along with the local AAM.
