Hyundai Ioniq 5 is getting strong response in India, more than 1000 cars sold so far

Hyundai Ioniq 5 was launched in January 2023. By July the carmaker had sold 500 units of the premium EV. And now this figure has increased to 1,000 units. Let us know what is special about this car.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been introduced with retro styling. For retro appeal, it has 'Parametric Pixel LED' square headlights and multi-LED taillights. Its rear design also seems to be inspired by traditional 1980s hatchbacks like the Lancia Delta Integrale. However, I have only seen the delta integral in photographs.

Sliding central control is offered in the Hyundai Ioniq 5. You can move the entire unit with its cupholders, armrests, and storage cubbies to create more space. Additionally, the rear bench seat has a power sliding function and can be adjusted for maximum legroom at the rear.

Talking about the exterior, it gets new headlamps, flush-fitting door handles, and flared-wheel arches with 20-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, it gets two 12.3-inch screens – one unit for each cluster and the other for the infotainment system. Ventilated seats are also available in it. 2 ADAS, power seats, six airbags, and a vehicle-to-load function (V2L) accessed via a power socket on the side of the car.

The company claims that if you charge this electric car using a fast charger, it will be charged up to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is powered by a 72.6kWH battery pack, which generates 216bhp and 350Nm of peak torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a single-speed transmission. It has an ARAI-certified range of 631km on a single charge and can be charged from 10-80 percent in 18 minutes using a 350kW DC charger.
