Hyundai Exter EV: Hyundai can launch this electric car by next year, will compete with Tata Punch EV

Hyundai Exter was recently launched at an affordable price. This vehicle also comes in a CNG variant. Now the company is working on its electric version. Work is going on at a fast pace on this upcoming EV that will compete with the Tata Punch EV, which has been seen testing on many roads. Let us know what can be special in the Hyundai Exeter EV.

Hyundai is all set to enter the entry-level EV segment in India and the company is going to start it with Exeter EV. Hyundai ICE Exter has received tremendous response in the Indian market.

If media reports are to be believed, the Hyundai Xtor EV could be offered with a battery pack of around 25-30kWh and may be capable of delivering a range of around 300 km - 350 km. However, information on this has not been revealed openly by the company.

Talking about the price, who will be ahead in this micro-SUV electric segment? The prices of the ICE models of Exeter and Punch are very close. But in CNG, the Punch has taken the lead with a starting price of Rs 7,09,900 lakh. Compared to this, Xtor CNG price starts from Rs.8,23,990. Hyundai is likely to adopt an aggressive pricing strategy for the upcoming Exeter Electric.

If reports are to be believed, Hyundai Motor India is planning to introduce its Made-in-India EV sometime in 2024. Recent sightings of a Hyundai Xeter EV prototype indicate that this could be one. The micro SUV will be the first mass-market electric car from the South Korean automaker in India, taking on the Tata Punch EV. However, it is too early to say anything about which battery pack will be given in it and how much range it will give.
