Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on Monday launched the XL750 Transalp in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 10,99,990 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). The premium adventure tourer is being brought to the country from Japan via the completely built (CBU) route and will be sold exclusively through Bigwing dealerships. Come, let us know about it.

The Honda XL750 Transalp shares its DNA with the original Transalp of the 1980s. Talking about the design, it gets a compact headlight, integrated windscreen and large tank shroud for aerodynamic performance. The rear design sports a tough look with an aluminum carrier and LED light.

The bike rides on a 21-inch front wheel with an 18-inch spoked rear wheel, which provides a smooth ride both on and off road. Booking has been started for the first 100 customers in select cities. These cities include Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. Its delivery will start from November.

Its lightweight steel diamond frame is designed for everyday short rides as well as long journeys. This motorcycle will be made available in two color schemes – Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black.

Talking about the features, this bike is equipped with a 5.0-inch TFT panel, which displays important information including speedometer, tachometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge and riding mode. This display can be adjusted as per the rider's preference.

The adventure tourer gets a Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVC), which enables the rider to connect the smartphone to the bike while on the go. It allows voice management of calls, messages and navigation.
