Honda launches new updated Shine 125 motorcycle; Know what's new

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the updated Shine 125 (Shine 125). The updated motorcycle now meets OBD-2B and gets some new features in the process. The bike gets an updated engine and a complete digital instrument console to meet the new emission norms. Which is akin to the rest of Honda's mass-market model range.
The prices of the new 2025 Honda Shine 125 start at around Rs 85 thousand (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in two variants, drum, and disc, and is already available for sale at HMSI dealers across India.
The new Shine 125 gets a 123.94cc, single-cylinder PGM-Fi engine that's now OBD2B compliant. The engine makes 7.93 kW of power at 7500 RPM and 11 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. It also gets an idling stop system, which improves fuel efficiency.
The design of the Shine 125 continues to be premium and fashionable. Which is now updated with a new range of colors. It is available in a total of six colors. Which consists of shades like Pearl Igneous Black, Jenny Gray Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue. In addition to this, the bike now also features a 90mm wider rear tyre, which not only enhances its visual presence but also stability on the road.
The new Shine 125 also receives a completely digital instrument cluster that displays a host of information like real-time mileage, range (distance to empty), service due indicator, gear position indicator, and eco indicator. It also receives a USB Type-C charging port, which allows the riders to charge their devices on the go.
