'Hindenburg's allegations are minor', Congress said - JPC investigation will reveal the whole truth
Hindenburg Row: Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the whole truth can come out only through the investigation of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Congress has been attacking the Adani Group for the last several months regarding the report of Hindenburg Research. The Adani Group has completely rejected all the allegations leveled against it.
The main opposition party Congress on Friday claimed that the allegations leveled by the US institution Hindenburg Research regarding the alleged scam related to the Adani Group are minor and the whole truth can come out only through the investigation of the Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the whole truth can come out only through the investigation of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Congress has been attacking the Adani Group for the last several months regarding the report of Hindenburg Research. The Adani Group has completely rejected all the allegations leveled against it.
Ramesh said in his post on social media platform 'X', "The demand for a joint parliamentary committee probe into the Adani mega scam goes beyond the revelations made in the Hindenburg Research report. These revelations are very minor. The JPC probe will reveal the full truth." He said that the irregularities and wrongdoings related to the Adani Group are related to every aspect of the political economy. "We exposed these in our 100-question series 'Hum Adani ke Kaun'."
The Congress general secretary claimed, "India's investigative agencies were misused to ensure Adani's monopoly in airports, ports, cement and other important sectors. India's foreign policy interests were compromised to serve the needs of Adani Enterprises in the neighborhood, at the cost of India's reputation."
Ramesh alleged, "India's strategic relations with Israel were handed over to a single company, Adani. Bills for coal and power equipment were hiked, which has not only promoted money laundering and excessive profits but has also increased the electricity bills of common people."
He said that these matters are not mentioned in Hindenburg's allegations.
The Congress general secretary said, "Hindenburg's allegations are limited to matters related to the capital market, and they are related to stock manipulation, accounting fraud, and conflict of interests in regulatory agencies. These allegations are minor." He said, "Only JPC can fully investigate and expose the Modini mega scam."
