High Court halts posting of candidates selected in SI recruitment exam, and over 50 trainee SIs have been arrested
Rajasthan News: The Rajasthan Police SI recruitment exam has been in controversy since the paper leak. Now the Rajasthan High Court has stayed the posting of candidates selected in the exam. The bench of Justice Sameer Jain has given this verdict. The High Court has also ordered to maintain the status quo in the matter. Let us tell you that more than 50 trainee SIs have been arrested in this case so far.
The Rajasthan High Court has halted the posting of candidates selected in the Police Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment Examination-2021, which came into controversy over the paper leak. A single bench of Justice Sameer Jain has delayed the trainee SI's passing out parade and directed that the situation remain unchanged.
On the other hand, Imarti Devi, who got a dummy candidate to sit in her place in the teacher recruitment exam, was arrested by the police in Jodhpur on Monday. Harendra Meel, the lawyer of petitioners Kailashchandra Sharma and others said it was argued in the court that on the first day of the examination, a report of fraud was filed. Thereafter, reports were filed in various districts. After the fraud came to light, the government gave the appointments, and the training was initiated.
So far, over 50 trainee SIs have been arrested in this case. The police headquarters has also recommended to the government to cancel the recruitment examination, but no such decision has been taken by the government yet. Notably, former members of Rajasthan Public Service Commission Ramu Ram Raika also got arrested over this case. Raika gave the paper to his son and daughter beforehand which resulted in their selection.
