Health Ministry: Indian researchers are compiling data to help prevent illness, and physicians will receive education
Health Ministry: A senior official of the Union Health Ministry said that lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in India. The number of its patients is increasing every year. This causes 10% of the total deaths due to cancer in the country.
The government has started a unique process for the prevention and proper treatment of various diseases. The committee formed under this will collect evidence-based guidelines. The committee includes experts from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Directorate General of Health Services and Department of Health Research (DHR), based in New Delhi.
Apart from this, the government has also decided that along with MBBS and PG students, doctors across the country should also be trained in systematic reviews and meta-analysis so that medical studies can be useful to them in medical management. For this, the government has first decided to organize workshops for doctors in 10 states including Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. According to the information, a budget of around Rs 6 lakh will be allocated by ICMR for each workshop.
Lung cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers in India, according to a senior official in the Union Health Ministry. Every year, the number of its patients rises. Ten percent of all cancer-related deaths in the nation are caused by this. In spite of this, the nation lacks scientifically supported guidelines for the detection, monitoring, diagnosis, or treatment of lung cancer.
In the same way, accurate information about other diseases is lacking. He claimed that the patients' ability to receive the best care possible in primary and tertiary hospitals will be the main advantage of this novel approach. In addition, doctors will find it simpler to diagnose the illness based on symptoms.
