Grenade attack on CRPF bunker; One jawan was injured
One jawan was injured in an attack in Srinagar; a Terrorist attack on Kargil Army Camp 2 days ago
Terrorists lobbed a grenade on a CRPF bunker in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on Saturday. A policeman has been injured in the attack near Ali Masjid Idgah area of Srinagar. He has been taken to the hospital for treatment. The injured policeman has been identified as Sub Inspector Parvez Rana of 161st Battalion of CRPF.
According to the police, the terrorists fled after the attack. The search operation is being carried out by cordoning off the area. The CCTV footage installed nearby is also being scrutinized.
On August 11, a conspiracy like the Uri attack in Kargil in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir was foiled. Here some terrorists tried to enter the army camp. After this, the security forces retaliated. Two terrorists were killed in this. Four army personnel Subedar Rajendra Prasad, Rifleman Manoj Kumar and Rifleman Lakshmanan D, Rifleman Nishant Malik were martyred in the firing. 4 jawans were also injured.
Kargil Camp is 25 km from Rajouri. According to information received from 11 Rashtriya Rifles, it was a suicide attack on the army camp.
On July 17, terrorists attacked the check post near Gangu crossing in Pulwama. Police and CRPF personnel were stationed here during the firing. A CRPF jawan was martyred in the incident. This was the second attack on the security forces in 5 days. Kashmir Police's ASI Mushtaq Ahmed Lone was killed during the terrorist attack in Lal Bazar Chowk on 12 July.
On August 5, terrorists hurled a grenade at the workers in the Gadoora area of Pulwama. In this incident, a labourer from Bihar was killed and two were injured. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Mumtaz of Parsa, Bihar. The father-sons of Rampur in Bihar, Mohammad Arif and Mohammad Majbool, were injured.
