Indian women shooters Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal won gold and bronze respectively in the 10m air pistol SH1 category event at the Paralympic Games here on Friday. Avni, who participated in the final match here earlier today, recorded a new record in the Paralympics shooting with 249.7 scores and won the gold medal. The competition was really tough as South Korea's Lee Unri was giving a tough time to Avni. Avni managed to hit a 10.5 in the last shot. At the same time, the Korean shooter scored 6.8 in the last shot. With this, Avni gave India the gold medal. Yunri had to be satisfied with the silver medal with 246.8. Mona Agarwal won the bronze medal with 228.7. Thus far, Avni has become the first Indian female athlete to win two medals in the Paralympics.
