New Fertilizer Bag has been launched by the government. Through this new bag, the government will appeal to the farmers to use minimum chemical fertilizers. The new Fertilizer bag will also have a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The message on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be written on the new fertilizer bag that I appeal to the farmers, you take a great step in saving the mother earth by using less and balanced chemical fertilizers.

In August, the central government decided to implement the "One Nation, One Fertilizers" scheme, under which subsidized fertilizers would be made available under the Bharat brand across the country. Subsidy on fertilizer is given under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janurvarak Pariyojana (PMBJP).

In a report by the news agency PTI, it was told that the design has been approved by the Chemical and Fertilizer Ministry. Along with this, the design of the new bag has been sent to all the manufacturers.

Apart from this, it was said on behalf of the department that the new bags should be used in manufactured or imported fertilizers with immediate effect.

All the details of the subsidy will be on this bag. In the case of urea, the central government fixes the maximum retail price (MRP). The subsidy is given on the difference between the cost of production and the MRP. Under the Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) scheme, subsidies are given for Nitrogen (N), Phosphate (P), Potash (K), and Nutrients.

Generally, 340 to 350 lakh tonnes of fertilizer is required for Rabi and Kharif crops in India.
