Currently, BSNL is working with TCS and C-DOT to launch a 4G network. According to Ashwini Vaishnav, BSNL 5G will be available from March or April 2024. He also told that the work of network upgradation is going on very fast. BSNL will rapidly roll out 4G service and the same will happen with 5G.
Ashwini Vaishnav has said these things while introducing Airtel and Jio 5G services in Odisha. He also claimed that BSNL 5G service will be made available across Odisha in the next 2 years. Earlier, he had said that 5G service would be available in the state from January 26.
Airtel and Jio will get competition after the launch of the BSNL 5G service. Airtel and Jio launched the 5G service in India in October. Since then, till now both Airtel and Jio companies have launched 5G services in many cities. To use 5G service, you must have an eligible smartphone and telecom plan. However, for this, you do not need to take any 5G plan.
