Maha Kumbh has increased the fares of flights to Prayagraj. Meanwhile, the Aviation Ministry on Wednesday requested the airlines to maintain reasonable fares. After this, the country's largest airline Indigo has reduced the fares of its flights to Prayagraj by 30 to 50%.

Indigo also moved in this direction when Consumer Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said that the flight fares of Prayagraj are very high. He asked the Directorate General of Aviation (DGCA) to take the initiative to reduce the fare. Air fares have gone up severalfold after passengers' demand increased due to Maha Kumbh. The Aviation Ministry had asked airliners to reduce fares.

Today, Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and other officials met representatives of airlines and discussed the fares of flights to Prayagraj and tried to ensure that the fares remain reasonable during the Maha Kumbh.
