Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told Parliament on Friday that a new scheme has been launched recently to upgrade railway stations. So far 52 stations have been identified for upgrade under this scheme.

Today is the 16th day of the monsoon session. This week is the last week of the monsoon season. The proceedings of both the houses will start at 11 am. During the proceedings, the Central Government may introduce the Electricity Amendment Bill-2022 in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The purpose of this bill is to reform the electricity sector in the country. Here, the opposition can still create a ruckus in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha regarding inflation, and ED-CBI uses.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told the Rajya Sabha on Friday that the target was to make 1,253 railway stations as Adarsh stations across the country, out of which 1,215 stations have been developed so far. The remaining 38 stations will be developed under the Adarsh station scheme by 2022-23. The Railway Minister made this announcement while giving a written reply to a question by BJP MP Narhari Amin.
On Friday, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge raised the question regarding the use of ED-CBI. He had said that the ED has asked me to appear for questioning in the National Herald case. How can they call me during the proceedings of Parliament? I have been asked to appear before ED at 12.30. I want to obey the law, but is it right for me to be called during the proceedings of the House?
Yesterday the police surrounded the houses of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Will democracy survive in such an environment? Will we be able to work according to the constitution? We will not be afraid of it, we will fight it.
